For this shoot the Engaged Video team had to location scout a kitchen setting where this demo could be filmed. The specifications for the video required a sink that was deep enough to mount a camera inside the sink for action shots, and provide a stylish and clean backdrop for the actress who would be presenting information on the product. For these shots we used a GoPro Hero3+ Black edition filming 1080p HD at 60 frames per second (FPS) mounted to the sink wall using a suction cup mount.
The actress, (Sarah Davis), was auditioned and hired based on criteria defined by the client. A script was written, revised and delivered to the actress prior to the on location shoot. Once on location this shoot required a significant amount of production lighting to be set up to properly light the space for the shoot. A production assistant operated a boom mic during wide shots, and an additional shotgun mic was used during sink shots to capture the sound of water and the disposal during operation.
The 3D animation of the product spinning was built in Blender by a third party animator, and compiled by Engaged Video in After Effects. All other animated elements, including the spinning backdrop, were developed by Engaged Video in house. Final compilation of the segment was completed in Premiere Pro and music was licensed by a third party professional musician.
